I haven’t been writing as much as I used to. I sit here, at my computer, every morning with coffee in hand, just fiddling around on the internet and not getting anything remotely accomplishing done. (However, yesterday morning I did my course selection, took me two hours, but its done.) So i’m going to start doing some daily writing prompts. I used to do them to force myself to write something when I didn’t want to write anything, because they are incredibly lame and push you to write anything other than responses to random questions. So anyway, I’ll be doing this every morning…sometimes I’ll put it here, i’m sure most of the time I won’t, but hey, surprises are fun.

Almost done Looking for Alaska and wow. I mean wow. SO good. Favorite quote (among many others…but hey lets go with this one) was “So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane.”

alrighty, 10 fact about my room:
1. It’s red. It was painted red because when we moved into my house absolutely EVERY wall was white. My mother happens to like it that way. I, however, would like to not feel like i’m in an ‘insane asylum’ whilst laying in bed. SO after about 6 months of living in a white room I snapped and bought the HARDEST and brightest colour to paint a room and still have it look normal. 3 Days later and something like 5 or 6 coats it was done and remains the ONLY room in my house with coloured walls.
2. I have this thing for candles….they’re everywhere. I figure its better to collect those over something creepy like china dolls or something…
3. I am what i like to call an ‘organized hoarder’. I keep absolutely everything…but most of it is hidden.
4. I’m pretty particular about my bed. I can sleep anywhere, but when im at home my bed is as comfy as it can be. I have something like 6 pillows on it and 2 huge fluffy blankets….. anyways, its special.
5. i’m running out of things here. My desk is really really old. My grandma and grandpa used to have a farm and this farm was full of random pieces of furniture that my grandma picked up from random antique places and flea markets. She’d somehow find these pieces of furniture and fix em and they’d be pretty again. SO, my grandma moved and my parents got some furniture and now my desk is really old and the drawer doesn’t open because there’s a key somewhere that i’ve lost or something.
6. My room is carpeted. I hate carpet.
7. I’ve got this really big built in bookshelf to the wall my closet doors are on. It’s seriously massive…and i have no more room on it.
8. Beside my bed right now there are 3 of my nanny’s travel journals, one of mine, my copy of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens & Peter and Wendy, a water bottle and my cell phone should be there but who knows.
….I can’t think of anything else. fun eh?
